California Adventures

Jaxon and I had a fun day at CA Adventures today with friends. Lightning McQueen and Mater from Cars are very popular around our house these days. It was Ash Wednesday so those are ashes on our foreheads, we're not THAT dirty!!!

He is still a little scared of the disney characters, but loves to watch them from a 'safe' distance!

Go Huskies!!!

We took Jaxon to his first Husky basketball game against USC on Saturday. He loved it!

Daddy, basketball, and lots of popcorn, what's not to love???

After all the popcorn he needed a little nap (with his husky stuffed animal of course)! We were all very happy that they won at the last minute. :)

1st post ever!!!

We'll see how this turns out! I'm guessing with more photos than writing, but who knows! Here is a pic of Jaxie having fun in the bath the other night. The questionable looking water is orange because of his new colored bath tablets, not because he had an accident!

When he was supposed to be napping we could hear him singing "Life is a Highway" (from Cars of course) at the top of his lungs!

Jaxon: "Look at all those beautiful cars!"

Me: "Wow!"

Jaxon: "I know, man!"

While Jason and I were talking about Scarlett:

Jaxon: "Stop!!! Stop talking!"

Me: "Why?"

Jaxon: "You can't talk about that!"

Me: "Why, what do you want us to talk about?"

Jaxon: "About me!"

Sounds like we may have a little bit of a jealousy problem already!

Me: "What? Who said that?"

Jaxon: "Me!"

Me: "Well, how did you hear that?"

Jaxon: "With my ears!"

Never did figure out where he heard that!

While we were snuggling on the couch:

Me: "I love you Jaxie, you're such a good boy."

Jaxon: "Thanks Mama, you're a good friend."

On the way to the aquarium when we had to take a detour:

"Mama, I think we're lost!"

"This hot tub is cozy!"

"Mama, let's watch Thomas- it's on demand!"

"Daddy, you can't go to work today, work is closed. Come to Costco with us instead!"

At the ultrasound:

"There's the baby, she's sleeping in her crib."

Counted to ten today, only because he thought I wasn't listening!

"OK Daddy, if you say so!"

"That's what I'm talking about, Jason!"

"What's the big idea?"

"What's the problem?" (probrum)

"Mama, do you love me?"

And the ever popular

"Why?" and "Where?"

That could go on forever....

While Jaxon was laying on the couch

Jaxon: "Mama, I want my best friend."

Me: "Okay, who's your best friend?" (One of his stuffed animals????)

Jaxon: "Mama, I want you!!!"

Don't worry, it came out that Jason is his best friend too!

This was all while we were playing together at the playground today....

"Mama, can you be my teddy bear?"

"Mama, I want you to be my mommy."

"Mama, are you my special buddy?"

When we were walking into preschool...

Jaxon: Mama, will you play with me at preschool?

Me: Sure! Will you play with me?

Jaxon: Yes!

So then when one of his preschool friends walked through the door...

Jaxon: Hi! This is my friend Macaulay!

I was laughing so hard!!!

Has been talking about time and days of the week a lot lately

"Mama, what time is it?"

"Mama, come on, come on Mama, it's basketball (baseball,racing cars, etc.) time!"

We are working on manners, saying please and thank you and here are some of the cute things he has being saying...

"Mama, thanks, thanks for the hug, Mama, thanks."

"Yummy, Mama, you smell yummy."

After nap: "Thanks, Mama, thanks for waking up to get me."

Seeing a picture of the Easter Bunny: "Please bring me the blue Dinoco helicopter (helpipopter), please."

When Jason gets home from work: "Thanks Daddy, Thanks for coming home, it's a special day."

When I was putting him in the car: "Thanks, Mama, Thanks for helping me in my car seat."

"Thank you, Guido, thank you Chick Hicks, thank you for playing with me!"

Whenever I leave the room he has started calling "Macaulay, Macaulay, where are you?" (he says Ma-cow-weeeeeeeeee)

Jaxon: Where's Daddy going?

Jason: I'm going to work, buddy.

Jaxon: Daddy's going to work so he can get money.

Jason: What are we going to do with the money?

Jaxon: Buy MATER!!! (I knew this was probably coming)

Jason: So I better get going?

Jaxon: Yeah, bye!!!

Jaxon was playing with his Mickey hat on the way to Disneyland and he read his name off the back and said"J-A-X-O-N spells Jaxon!" Of course he will never do this when I ask him!
