We're Back!!!

After 5 1/2 weeks away, we are happy to be back in Newport. Here is a picture of the never-ending hug with Daddy in the airport. All these pictures in this post are from my phone so they are not the best, but you get the idea!

Scarlett was happy to see her daddy again too!

Our house is still quite a work in progress, but here are some pictures so far. (The pantry door still needs to be stained to match the cabinets)

The kids rooms have carpet but the rest of the house is hardwood.

Floors

Part of the kitchen, but will mostly be used like an office. Still loving the sign, Sara. Actually, we will probably hang it over the front door.

Interior doors

They made this sandbox over the weekend.

Our bathroom

Still waiting for some of the fixtures, but at least its usable!

Kids bathroom, luckily Jaxon still likes sink baths!

Time to get back to unpacking!!!

Ahhhhhhh!!!!! Do you renovate other people's homes?!?!?! It's gorgeous, I LOVE it!!! Hello cabinets and floors...and the sign. LOVE it!!! I think I may have to order one of the established ones too. I bet it's nice to be back, but it's so nice to see family too :) Loving the pic's.

Dolly, it is GORGEOUS!!!!!! Oh man. I love it. I bet the kids were so happy to see their dad. That's a long time to be away. I'm sad we didn't get to hang out, it was busy around here. Next time. :) Seriously, the house is right out of a magazine. Good work! xx

LOVE IT!!! I'm having to hold myself back from running out and ordering new cabinets and counter-tops just like yours. :) I hope you guys are still loving it! Hopefully I'll be able to see it all in person one of these days! Give hugs to the kiddos. xoxo

Welcome back!!! ok, the kids are so cute and Scarlet looks like the happiest baby ever! I love love your house and your style. The kitchen looks so great. We just got done getting new countertops and hardwoods in the kitchen, it's a never ending project. BTW, I'm super jealous of your dual sink. Our next house will definitely have that LORD willing :)

At the ultrasound:

"There's the baby, she's sleeping in her crib."

"OK Daddy, if you say so!"

"That's what I'm talking about, Jason!"

Some new frequent questions:

"What's the big idea?"

"What's the problem?" (probrum)

"Mama, do you love me?"

And the ever popular

"Why?" and "Where?"

That could go on forever....

While Jaxon was laying on the couch

Jaxon: "Mama, I want my best friend."

Me: "Okay, who's your best friend?" (One of his stuffed animals????)

Jaxon: "Mama, I want you!!!"

Don't worry, it came out that Jason is his best friend too!

This was all while we were playing together at the playground today....

"Mama, can you be my teddy bear?"

"Mama, I want you to be my mommy."

"Mama, are you my special buddy?"

When we were walking into preschool...

Jaxon: Mama, will you play with me at preschool?

Me: Sure! Will you play with me?

Jaxon: Yes!

So then when one of his preschool friends walked through the door...

Jaxon: Hi! This is my friend Macaulay!

I was laughing so hard!!!

Has been talking about time and days of the week a lot lately

"Mama, what time is it?"

"Mama, come on, come on Mama, it's basketball (baseball,racing cars, etc.) time!"

We are working on manners, saying please and thank you and here are some of the cute things he has being saying...

"Mama, thanks, thanks for the hug, Mama, thanks."

"Yummy, Mama, you smell yummy."

After nap: "Thanks, Mama, thanks for waking up to get me."

Seeing a picture of the Easter Bunny: "Please bring me the blue Dinoco helicopter (helpipopter), please."

When Jason gets home from work: "Thanks Daddy, Thanks for coming home, it's a special day."

When I was putting him in the car: "Thanks, Mama, Thanks for helping me in my car seat."

"Thank you, Guido, thank you Chick Hicks, thank you for playing with me!"

Whenever I leave the room he has started calling "Macaulay, Macaulay, where are you?" (he says Ma-cow-weeeeeeeeee)

Jason: I'm going to work, buddy.

Jaxon: Daddy's going to work so he can get money.

Jason: What are we going to do with the money?

Jaxon: Buy MATER!!! (I knew this was probably coming)

Jason: So I better get going?

Jaxon: Yeah, bye!!!

Jaxon was playing with his Mickey hat on the way to Disneyland and he read his name off the back and said"J-A-X-O-N spells Jaxon!" Of course he will never do this when I ask him!
