Football and Disneyland

What a weekend, first the Huskies big win and then Disneyland!  Yes, we do attribute their huge win to this cute little guy and his support.  :)  Thanks for the jersey Auntie Kel, he feels very official!
He practiced extra hard just to cheer them on!

Yep, he is growing up.  He isn't scared of the characters anymore.

Disneyland with Julia, what could be better?
They said they were going to Mexico.
We might want to keep an eye on these two.  :)
Here are some more cute preschool pictures...
The kids all get to take turns giving "spotty" a kiss at the end of circle time.
My little guy is not so little anymore...

First Day of Preschool

Today was Jaxon's first day of preschool for the year.  We go to the Parent/Child preschool at St. Andrews Presbyterian.  This year preschool is one day a week for two and a half hours and I go with him.  During the middle the moms or dads leave for 45 minutes to go have coffee in the room next door and have fellowship time where we discuss various topics.  Then in May it becomes a drop-off preschool for the last 6 weeks of class.  I thought for sure I would be called back to the preschool room to get him as some of the other moms were, but when the time was up he was still happily playing with his buddies.  I am so glad that we decided to put him in this gradual preschool program at St. Andrews, he is so happy there and all the kids and teachers are so sweet.  :)

Ready to go... but wait, first we need a picture with Mommy!

I'm a little upset that nobody mentioned I looked like a beached whale today.... maybe we should have skipped that picture after all!  :)

He insisted on a Happy Meal after class today, we went a few times after summer playdays at St. Andrew's and somehow he thinks it is a tradition we need to follow.

How can I resist this cute little guy?
Pirate Day

This week our library had a pirate program where all the kids came dressed as pirates and they read some pirate stories and did some arts and crafts.  It was lots of fun.  Jaxon was a little hesitant to put on the costume mainly because he was worried that it meant he couldn't still be a dinosaur for Halloween!

Soccer Star

Today was Jaxon's first day of soccer practice.

Team cheer at the end.  It was lots of fun and he loved it!

Happy Birthday TT, wish we were there to celebrate with you! xoxo
The next best thing to having a real pool in your backyard.... maybe someday!  :)

House Hunters Take 8

Okay, this is the 8th (and hopefully the final) property we have made an offer on since we have moved here!!! Not to mention the numerous houses we have looked at and not made offers on for whatever reason.  Crazy, who would have thought that in this market it would be so hard to buy a house???  We REALLY love this place and the location.  It is a bank foreclosure so hopefully we could get a good deal on it.  Don't waste your prayers on our housing situation, but definitely wish us luck!  If we are going to move, I would really love to move in the fall before I get too close to my due date.

Xavier James

Today we are celebrating Xavier's one year birthday in Heaven.  He is loved and missed everyday.  Here is a poem that Jason wrote last year.

Just Long Enough

How much time is long enough
to make a world of difference
You were only here for less than a day
yet infinite is the power of your presence

Not long enough to rock you to sleep
and sing you a lullaby
But just long enough to hold you in our arms
and hear your precious little cry

Not long enough to see your first steps, hear your first words
or take you to school for your very first day
But just long enough for you to walk into our hearts and hear your spirit say-
Mom and Dad, everything is going to be ok

Not long enough to wrestle with, laugh with
tattle on or look up to your older brother
But just long enough to let him protect you
with a kiss and a hug that bonded you forever

You were ready for Heaven before most
so I guess that's why God took you
But it wasn't long enough for me to show you
how much I truly love you

So until the day we meet again
I just want you to know
I'll never forget you Xavier James
and I'll always remember the day you said goodbye and hello

September!?!?!

I can't believe it is already September!!!  I was hoping to post once more in August, but the next best thing would be to finish this one before naptime is over!  Here are some pics from the last few weeks of August.
Movie and lunch date with Little Miss Holland

Big boy bed, take two!  (This time it worked!)
Birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese
Back at Disneyland again!  This day Disneyland not only felt like the happiest place on earth, but the most crowded and hottest place on earth as well!  We are having a major heat wave here with temps in the 90's even here on the beach.  That's hot for us!  Luckily, we are not affected at all so far by the fires in L.A.
Lunch and shopping with cousin Lilly, I love this picture!  What a cutie pie!

Trying to make the best of a bad mistake, I put the bleached bedding on the guest bed.  Jason just couldn't get behind the purple!  I guess he's just not a true Husky or Wolverine fan!!!  :)
Now I probably won't get new bedding again till I'm 80!
Jaxon's still not too happy about it, yep it's naptime!
